NEW PRODUCTS
New items just in.
We have now started to stock G gauge. This is a slow and small start in the larger gauges, it will take some time but new customers have already noticed the new Dash 9 located just inside the front door.
There is a small range of track from PIKO to be followed by Aristocraft and PECO.
Recently we were guests of Graham Hubbard and co from Bachmann who opened up their premises to show off their latest new projects. There was a new Peppercorn A2 together with the mockups of the class 156 in OO gauge. For N gauge enthusiasts there were the new Class 108 DMU in BR green with Speed Whiskers. and the Maroon and Green Warship class diesel Hydrualic locos so celerbated on the Western Region. The detail was amazing and the livery and colour was superb. We hope to have these new items in the shop towards Christmas.
The New Graham Farish Stannier Coaches have arrived in the shop and are selling well. we don't anticipate them lasting long. Two liveries are available and if you don't see them on the web site please ring us and we can sort you out.
Now for one last plea. We have a Forum where most of our announcements are made. please log on and read these as they can keep you all informed of what is happening and when. We have been made aware of a fault in the Registration process so that members who wanted to log on and leave messages could not register in the first place. We have now corrected this fault and you can now register to join the forum. .
We would like to draw your attention to the Diary where you can keep up to date with when and where we are attending fairs and exhibitions and our own exhibition in September on 6th/7th.. We have been allowed to borrow the fairly large warehouse next door for a show and we hope to attract quite a few layouts, and as many as we can in "N" Gauge, which if we can attract enough we hope to make the show into the theme of "Model Railways in the smaller gauges". We thank the clubs who have already agreed to take part and would ask you all to support them with your attendance, it's always nice when appreciation is shown by a good turnout.
Now we are one!
Our website has grown up, with improvements based upon your feedback. The catalogue has been overhauled, and is easier to navigate and more informative than it was previously, with improved search facilities.
We will keep you informed of news, reviews, exhibition and toy fair dates via our online forums. You can also provide us with feedback and comments, as well as offer the benefit of your model railway knowledge and wisdom to others. You can even show off your layout in the forum gallery.
If you are a club or society, we are happy to perform a link exchange with you for your website.

How to find us
By car...
From the Motorway M4/5 Junction 16 1/4 mile south of Almondsbury Interchange
Get off at Junction 16 and take the A38 road into Bristol, continue along this road which will be a dual carriageway right past the Filton aerodrome straight through all traffic lights until you go up a hill and reach a roundabout. as you crest the top of the hill go over to the right hand lane ready to turn right at the roundabout.
When you reach the roundabout take the 3rd exit which is to the right.
This is Southmead road. continue down this road with Aerospace on your right. Continue through the first set of traffic lights and you will pass the BAWA playing fields and recreation club on your right. at the end of the playing fields is an elderly care home called "Sunnymead". Next door to their entrance is a driveway, continue down this driveway and in 50 yards you will see our unit over to the center left with the Railway signal in the entrance.
If traveling from The North Eastern part of Bristol.
Take the Ring road A4174 and go past the Abbey Wood MOD establishment. continue up the hill until you come to the Roundabout by The Old Filton Church. Go straight over the Roundabout into Southmead road and the follow the direction as above from that roundabout.
By train...
We are close to 2 Railway stations.
trains run by Arriva (formerly Virgin Cross Country) and First Great western from the Northwest and the West Country London and Wales. If taking a taxi, ask to be dropped at our entrance right next to the BAWA entrance, if you are nice to us we may even be able to take you back to the station.
More local Train services run by First Great Western run into Bristols Filton Abbey Wood. This station is on the ring road half way between Bristol Parkway and our shop, this is obviously closer and is walkable up the hill and down the other side to our premises but please be advised that the walk is approximatly 1 mile. if walking come out of the station and go down the road to the dual carriageway and at this junction turn left and walk up the roundabout at the top of the hill. from there please take directions as stated straight on from the roundabout.
we will advise on Bus services as soon as we have had contact from the bus companies.
