What we do
We are stockists of model railways, model kits, military kits, Scalextric, scenic accessories, electronics, tools and hardware. If you can think of it, then we more than likely stock it. In fact we have 14,000 products in stock both in our Bristol warehouse and our online shop. We also design and manufacture baseboards and layouts on a commission basis with the majority of our work being produced in our warehouse.
Why not come down and see what we do? We often have layouts in progress and working models in progress. If you are stuck for ideas then it's a great place to come and get some inspiration and bits and pieces for your models.

Service and repair
We service and repair a wide variety of locos and even sort out problems on layouts. We offer a home visit if the problem is not of the variety that can be cured easily by bringing or sending a model to us. We understand of course that this may not be practical due to distance and that the cost may be prohibitive. But feel free to ask. We won't be offended and if we have to decline we will do so politely. We will also have a stock of spares and accessories which will take time to build up so please be patient with us as sometimes getting spares from some manufacturers is a bit like pulling teeth.
Build your kits
In addition to servicing locos we also undertake to build your kits for you and can accept commissions for model building. We will endeavour to give you a professional service and will give you a fair estimate for work and what is entailed. We have been commissioned by the public and industry in the past and will also do so again to the highest professional standards.
Paint and repaint service
In the future we hope to included paint and repaint service as soon and we can install our equipment, which has been resurrected from its store and needs TLC to get together all the broken and missing parts. Motto for all this aggravation is don't trust someone else to store your stuff for you.
Mail order system
We will also be operating a mail order system which you access through sales@gloucestermodelwarehouse.com You can choose any product and add it to your shopping cart and mail it to us and we will do the rest. We don't like to use this service to organise payment and will contact you by phone to set this up. Please include a landline number so we can get back to you. We don't as a rule like to ring back mobile phone numbers, as they are an expensive option and would lead to higher prices, which we know you don't want. We will agree postage for the moment but will probably standardise our price in the future to make things easier for you but in the meantime we want to keep the cost to you down as much as possible.Our new shopping cart will in future have a very secure online payment option.
